Strategic signing

We are able to deliver really great news to our fans! The place of Briann January, who will no longer play in Europe will be taken by an experienced point guard, Courtney Vandersloot for the 2022/2023 season!

Courtney, who used to be a part of the Hungarian national team a couple of years ago, has made it to the top as the player of Ekaterinburg in Europe, while in the WNBA she did it with the Chicago Sky. Besides her many titles, she holds an unbreakable-looking record overseas. Playing for the Chicago Sky in the 2020 season she shocked the sports world with a double-digit assist average of 10 in 22 games!

We can be sure that together with our, icon, Zs�fia Fegyverneky, who has been shining recently, they will form a perfect duo in the key position of point guard. Our team will be in good hands with the two of them!

"After it was decided in January that one of our team's key players, Briann January will no longer play complete seasons in Europe, I thought of her replacement as a strategic task" . emphasized Zolt�n T�r�k in connection with the signing. - We tried to find a solution to the question in that spirit. Briann January has written her name in the team's history books as the engine of the team, because she did an incredible job during the three seasons she had spent here. We owe her a huge gratitude for these years. I believe that Courtney's arrival can make sure the continuity of our building process. and that is why it was announced so early. I also hope that Zs�fi gets a pair for her in the point guard position with whom she can keep guiding our team in perfect synch!"

Courtney will join the team after the summer season of the WNBA in mid-October.
