Our team is facing a tough series of games in the crunchtime of Euroleague Women regular season, where there is a big competition for the best possible positions.
Out of the three crucial games first comes the one against Galatasaray, but at the time of the writing of this article it is still unsure, whether it will take place or not. Due to the snow situation in Turkey, all flights have been cancelled from Istanbul on Tuesday, so our rivals couldn't begin their journey to us. In case they will be able to take off with the 8.50 flight on Wednesday morning, the game will tip off at 9 pm!
Galatasaray are behind us with two fewer wins, they beat Spanish side Girona 80-68 last time with American star signing Kelsey Plum already on board. We don't have good memories regarding the road game against them. In the game on November 24 we were way behind very early, and even though we almost managed to erase the difference with a big rush at the end the Turkish won 67-61. It was a hurtful loss, for which it would be great to take revenge now. So much so, because with a win, we would secure a spot ahead of them at the end of the regular season, of which there are only three games left counting the one on Wednesday. Our key-player Gabby Williams also hopes that we learned from the road game and that we will be able to further secure our position in the group.
Tickets to the game can be purchased at the venue for 1800 HUF. According to the regulation in effect, entry to the game is only permitted for those in possession of an EU or Hungarian vaccination card, and those under the age of 18 may enter along with a grown-up who has a vaccination card.
