After three weeks the ball is bouncing again in Euroleague! From 8 (!) pm on Thursday we are hosting Russian giants and last year's runners-up Dynamo Kursk in Novomatic Aréna.
Our team is currently in the 4th spot, but we are behind Schio and Montpellier by just one win. Our current rivals have struggled with many difficulties throughout the season which were not solved by the replacement of the coach - Roberto Iniguez was subbed by Serbian Momir Tasic at the end of December - or the player movements. Although they sent us packing from Russia with a big defeat, but that time we were also not in our greatest form back then due to unfortunatey injuries. Now is the time to strike back! It won't be easy at all against the Russian team with strong national team members, and international players - Angel McCoughtry, Astou Ndour, Dewanna Bonner, Jessica Breland - with great individual skills on their roster., but what we can trust is our better team play. It is a big question how much they were able to improve on that in training recently. Hopefully we will be stronger in this respect, and if so, we might be able to beat them, which would also mean that we would finish ahead of them in the group! We will need our fans very much, who can push the girls towards victory with the help of the clappers known from earlier courtesy of Papírmanufaktúra kft. Before the battle Candice Dupree stood in front of our cameras to share her thoughts with us. Tickets can be purchased at the venue for 1500 HUF. Entry to the game is free of charge below the age of 14 and above 70!
