Jeca got the game going with a lay-up off Dalma’s assist, after which se split a pair of free throws (2nd minute 0-3). Then Betti made a lay-up, and Briann added a triple. When Jeca made another shot from close in, the difference has reached the double-digit margin (0-10). That’s when the home side were finally able to break the ice and score their first points in the game with a double coming from Tóth, to which Böröndy immediately added a jumper from mid-range. A bit later Briann was able to put an end to a two-minute silence in scoring with a double forcing Vasas’s first time-out in the game (7th minute 4-12). Then both teams had a chance at the free throw line – Bach made both shots and so did Kami, to which Tina added a lay-up restoring the double-digit difference from earlier. Both teams were struggling to score at the beginning of the second period. It took almost three minutes for us to get a basket, but Tina was finally able to make it and increase our lead further (13th minute 10-24). After that we came up with a 7-0 run to force the home side’s next time-out (10-31). In the last quarter Dávid Gáspár managed to give everyone a chance to play, five players got double-digits in scoring, and we came up with a solid win on the road (40th minute 52-86).
Dávid Gáspár: We were preparing for a Vasa team that fights and that's what we got from them. That's why we asked the girls to play hard, with great energy and focus. Congratulations to them for doing so! We controlled the game all the way through, gave a chance to many players who took it. I wish Vasas the best of luck, they are doing an extremely valuable job!
Debóra Dubei: We played a great game! Everyone gave all they've got, and performed the way coach asked to do. Our goal was to improve on our game in comparison to Wednesday, which we were able to do. I am glad we finally playd well on this court, too!
