EuroLeague Women: draw to be made on the 23rd of July

The International Basketball Federation has sent the schedule for the upcoming Euroleague Women season to the teams involved.

The execution of the series is not changing, the pool of teams will be made up of sixteen squads, that will be put into two groups of eight in the draw in Munich on the 23rd of July. Aside from the title holders 15 other clubs can participate. The spots will be assigned based on the results of the clubs and national teams in the past three years. If more teams apply for a spot than that, there will be a qualification round. From one country there can be only three teams in the competition.

The first round will be played on the 16th of October. In the schedule there will be a break between the 6th and 27th of November due to national team games. The last game day of the group phase will be on the 26th of February, after which on the 11th of March the best-of-three play-off series will begin in a weekly schedule. The teams that finish in the 5th and 6th place of the group will keep playing in the EuroCup Women. The FINAL4 will be played between the 17th and 19th of April.
