Wednesday evening we could do something that was unprecedented in the last four years: we could make it beyond the Euroleague group phase! To do so we have to beat French side Lille at our home-court. We have already done it once this season on French soil.
Our rival currently sits at the sixth position of the group with a 4-6 record. Last time they lost against Castors Braine 77-61 away from home. Since there are only four games left to be played in the group phase, they have two less wins than we do and we have already defeated them once, it's easy to calculate, that if we come out victorious in the game on Wednesday then - along with Polish club Polkowice, whom we already left behind earlier - they will not be able to finish higher than us on the table. In theory it looks simple, but the match will most certainly not be, since no game is easy in the Euroleague.
That's what assistant coach Carlos Cantero pointed out after Monday's training.
Although our team spent four and a half days away from Sopron traveling we hope that regeneration went as planned, and that we can successfully fight for promotion with the help of our fans on Wednesday!
The game tips off at 6 pm. on Wednesday. Entry is free of charge below the age of 14 and above 70!
A szurkolói szavazatok alapján a bedobók versenyében a legtöbb voksot csapatunk fiatal bedobója, Aleksandra Crvendakic kapta, aki így bekerült az Euroliga legjobb ötösébe! Gratulálunk!
Yvonne után, Aleks már a második játékosunk, aki ilyen nagy elismerésben részesült a szurkolók részéről
